1. F-22 Raptor:
Better
known as the “Vigorous Dragon,” the Jian-10 is an all-weather multirole
fighter aircraft designed by the Chengdu Aircraft Industry Corporation
for the People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) of China. Below the
port side of the intake, a twin barrel-cannon of 23 mm is attached
whereas its 11 external hardpoints can carry at least 6,000 kg of
weaponry. This fighter plane is designed for both air-to-ground and
air-to-air missions.
9. MiG-35 :
Classified
as a 4++ generation jet fighter, the MiG-35 is better known for its
uniquely contrived Optical Locater System (OLS) that alleviates this
fighter plane from trusting on Ground Controlled Interception (GCI) and
helps it to carry on multi-role missions, independently. On each wingtip
of this fighter plane, a Laser Emission Detector (LED) is attached
which helps in detecting approaching danger and counteracts them in
infrared ranges.
8. T-50 Golden Eagle:
Manufactured
by the Korea Aerospace Industries, T-50 Golden Eagle is counted among
one of the world’s few supersonic advanced trainers. A General Dynamics
A-50 20 mm cannon is mounted behind the cockpit of this fighter plane
which holds 205 rounds of linkless ammunition. This jet is best suited
in electronic warfare with extreme targeting capabilities.
7. F-16 Fighting Falcon:
Developed
by General Dynamics, as a multirole jet fighter aircraft, the F-16 is
called as the “Viper,” among pilots. Some of the best features of this
fighter plane are Relaxed Static Stability, seat leant back 30 degree to
cut the g-force on the pilot, bubble canopy for improve visibleness and
most importantly, side-mounted control stick to facilitate control
while channelizing.
6. Rafale:
A
lethal air supremacy fighter widely known for its unparalleled
air-to-air combat capabilities, Rafale is a product of Dassault
Aviation, a French aircraft manufacturer of military and business jets.
This fighter plane supports an electronic warfare system, SPECTRA, which
defends the aircraft from ground and airborne threats. This fighter
plane also assists the real time generation of three-dimensional maps
that are used in long-range interception and targeting.
5. JAS 39 Gripen:
Comprising
eight hardpoints to convey several missiles and bombs, the JAS 39
Gripen is a lightweight fighter plane best known for its delta
wing-canard design and high manoeuvrability. This fighter plane supports
a sophisticated PS-05/A pulse-doppler X-band radar which is capable of
observing and identifying targets 120 km away. It can also attack
targets beyond visual range by channelizing air-to-air missiles.
4. Eurofighter Typhoon:
Designed
and built by a syndicate of four different companies from UK, Italy,
Spain and Germany, this fighter plane holds a long track of laurels in
warfare. The Eurofighter Typhoon uses a sophisticated integrated defense
system “Praetorian” which monitors air-to-air and surface-to-air
dangers and can responds multiple threats concurrently.
3. Su-27:
Better
known as the “Russian flying monster,” Sukhoi Su-27 is a
supermanoeuverable jet fighter, capable to wipe out almost anything
lying under the range of 3,530 km. Designed for deep interdiction and
air superiority missions, this fighter plane holds a top-notch position
in the list of fourth generation fighters.
2. F/A-18 Hornet:
Comprising
finest aerodynamic characteristics and magnificent high angle-of-attack
ability, this multi-mission tactical aircraft is the guardian of
America’s dignity. This fighter plane was among the initial aircrafts to
employ digital multiplex avionics bus and multi-function displays that
allow a pilot to perform his actions with more flexibility in a fast
changing battle scene.
1. F-22 Raptor:
The
deadliest fighter aircraft of the world and the most critical component
of the United States Air Force, F-22 Raptor is a fifth generation
fighter plane, widely appreciated for its super-agility, sensor fusion,
supercruise speed and lethal attacking capabilities on highest possible
operational altitude.
